Punj Lloyd's stock ended 2.40 per cent lower at Rs 40.70 on the BSE. In intra-day session, it lost 4.91 per cent to Rs 39.65.
At the NSE, the scrip settled at Rs 40.90, down 1.45 per cent from its previous close.
In terms of volume, 4.06 lakh shares of the company changed hands at the BSE, while over 14 lakh shares were traded at the NSE during the day.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 4.95 crore in the corresponding period of 2013-14.
The company's total income from operations in April-June 2014 quarter declined to Rs 1,113.83 crore from Rs 2,228.92 crore in the corresponding period of previous financial year, the company had said yesterday.
In the broader market, the benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 46.51 points down to 25,676.65 during afternoon trade on the BSE.
