Punj Lloyd shares slump nearly 5% on disappointing Q1 results

Shares of Punj Lloyd fell nearly 5 per cent today after the company reported a standalone net loss of Rs 363.92 crore for the first quarter ended June 30.
The company's scrip tumbled 4.91 per cent to Rs 39.65 on the BSE.
On the NSE, the stock tanked 4.93 per cent to Rs 39.45.
Punj Lloyd had announced its quarterly earnings after market close yesterday.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 4.95 crore in the corresponding period of 2013-14.
The company's total income from operations in April-June 2014 quarter declined to Rs 1,113.83 crore from Rs 2,228.92 crore in the corresponding period of previous financial year, the company had said yesterday.
In the broader market, the benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 46.51 points down to 25,676.65 during afternoon trade on the BSE.
