Punjab Governor administers oath to new acting CJ of HC

Justice Shiavax Jal Vazifdar was today sworn in as the acting Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court.
He was administered the oath by Punjab Governor Shivraj V Patil in the premises of Raj Bhawan at a simple ceremony here today.
Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his Haryana counterpart Manohar Lal Khattar were also present on the occasion.
Prominent amongst others who attended the swearing in ceremony included former Judges of Supreme Court of India besides many sitting and retired Judges of Punjab and Haryana High court, members of the legal fraternity, jurists and top brass of the civil and police Administration of Punjab, Haryana and Union Territory of Chandigarh.
