Punjab govt orders revenue assessment of cotton crop

Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia today ordered revenue assessment (Girdawri) of all those villages of district Mansa where cotton crops got damaged due to excessive rain and overflowing of distributaries.
He had directed the revenue authorities to submit report at the earliest.
As per reports, cotton crop in Jherianwali, Raipur and Tandian villages of Sardulgarh sub-division and Bhainibagha, Sadda Singh Wala, Khokhar Khurd, Karamgarh, Autanwali, Talwandi Aklia, Banawali and Peron of Mansa Sub-division suffered the most.
Besides this, the Power Sub-station of Village Raipur has also been damaged.
The Minister has also directed the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited to repair the Sub-station at the earliest.
