Goa Police Friday arrested a Punjab resident for allegedly killing his wife at a resort in the beach village of Arpora in North Goa district on April 27.
Sukhwinder Singh was arrested with the help of Punjab police in Ludhiana six days after the alleged crime.
He and his wife Alka Saini, who hailed from Himachal Pradesh, had checked into a five-star resort at Arpora on April 20, said police inspector Navlesh Desai of Anjuna police station.
The killing came to light on April 27 when the hotel staff opened the room with a master key to clean it.
It is suspected that after stabbing Alka in the neck and killing her, Singh fled immediately.
Probe into why he committed the crime was on, inspector Desai said.
