Punjab minister issues instructions to depts over fund use

Haryana Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu today issued instructions to various departments to not wait till the last months of the financial year to utilise the funds approved in the Budget for development of the state.
The Finance Minister was presiding over a meeting regarding budget expenditure with the Administrative Secretaries of various departments here today, an official release said.
He said there is no dearth of funds in the Budget for development works in the state, and there should be no laxity in the execution of these works.
The minister said that the officers should take necessary steps to achieve the targets set for the development works.

He added that the grant given by the Central government should also be fully utilised so that this money is optimally utilised for the development of the state.
He said if departments have any other demands, then the process should be initiated soon so that it can be completed at the earliest.
