"Government should set up fast-track courts for the speedy trial of such cases, so that a victim gets justice without delay. This would also instill confidence in women and would make them feel secure," Shukla said.
The 16-year-old girl died on the spot in the horrific incident which occurred last evening on the Moga-Bhatinda highway near Gill village, 10 kilometres from Moga, while her 38-year-old mother sustained serious injuries.
The injured woman in her statement said that she and her daughter were molested and harassed by the conductor, cleaner and one more unidentified person on the bus, belonging to Orbit company, reportedly owned by the ruling Badal family.
