Punjab Roadways official held for taking bribe

Sleuths of Punjab vigilance bureau today arrested a senior state roadways official for allegedly taking bribe.
Disclosing this here, a spokesman of the bureau said that Punjab Roadways Moga Depot General Manager (GM) Sukhdeep Singh was arrested while accepting Rs 15,000 in lieu of granting permission to a private group to run its buses.
The trap was laid on the complaint of Bathinda resident Khush Karan Singh.
In his complaint, Khush had alleged that the GM was demanding bribe from him and his partners for granting them permission to run their buses, the spokesman said.
