Quack sentenced for eight years rigarous imprisonment

A court here has sentenced a quack, whose treatment caused death of child, to eight years rigorous imprisonment.
The prosecution case was that on September 15, 2012 a 15-month-old child swooned after the Nagarajan gave injuction to her. When the kids parents took her to a hospital doctors told them that the child was already died.
On the complaint of the parents, police arrested Nagarajan and searched the cline.
The police found that Nagarajandoes not have medical qualification to practice.
District Mahila Court Judge N Thirunavukkarasu awarded seven years RI to Nagarajan under the provisions of IPC for the death of the child and one year RI under the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 for practicing as doctor without any qualification.
