Qualifier Kurale upsets seeded Patel

Qualifier Sandesh Kurale of Kolhapur toppled eighth seed Vishwesh Patel to enter the boys singles quarter finals of the MSLTA-Yonex Sunrise under 14 National Tennis Tournament today.
Kurale carved out a 6-0, 5-7, 6-2 victory in a two hour match to enter the prequarterfinals of the tournament being organised by Endurance Marathwada-MSLTA Tennis Center (EMMTC) at the divisional sports complex here.
In another upset Manav Jain ousted 15th seed Hasith Gummuluru 6-2, 6-4 while in the girls event Riya Bhosale of Pune stunned Sai Bhoyar 6-4, 6-3 to enter the third round.
