"Considering the selection committee's recommendations, the Governor who is also the Chancellor of varsities in the state made the appointment of Dr Singh for three years from the date of joining or up to the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier," a Raj Bhawan spokesman said.
At present, Singh is the principal of a Meerut degree college affiliated to Meerut University.
