Statue of former Maharashtra Home Minister and NCP leader late R R Patil is in final shape and will be ready for installation in his home town Tasgaon in Sangli district in February.
Kolhapur-based sculptor Santaji Chougule has been working on the nine-feet high bronze statue for last few months, which will be ready for installation in mid February.
"It's a nine feet bronze statue weighing around 750 kg. It will be installed at the market committee office of Tasgaon tehsil in Sangli district," Chougule said.
Patil had served as deputy chief minister as well as home minister in his political career.
He passed away in February last year.
