Office goers had a tough time commuting to their workplace after metro train services were partially halted this morning following a "rail fracture" at Belgachia station.
Train services from Girish Park to Dumdum and from Dumdum to Girish Park were halted for about 40 minutes (from 9.20 AM to 10 AM) due to rail fracture at Belgachia station, Kolkata Metro Railway CPRO R N Mahapatra told PTI.
Authorities ran truncated services from Girish Park to Kabi Subhas and from Kabi Subhas to Girish Park, he said.
Normal services were resumed from 10 AM after mending of the rail fracture, which took place due to temperature fluctuation.
