According to a railway press release, Gavini Ravindrababu, a farmer from Vejandla village, noticed a break on the railway track between Vejandla and Guntur stations on Tenali-Guntur section of Guntur Railway Division of South Central Railway, while going to his farm.
Concerned over the safety of railway passengers, he trekked two kilometres to Vegendla railway station and informed the railway track defect to the station superintendent, who alerted the railway administration.
The railway staff from Guntur rushed to the spot, rectified the defect and prevented a mishap.
