Railway conducts Kannada language class

The Southern Railway has started a 30-day Kannada class for the railway staff of the Central Railway Station here.
The class was aimed at familiarising the front office staff of the Central Station with the local language and to facilitate better and effective interaction with the local people, a release here said.
The railways had been getting complaints regarding not getting reply to their queries in Kannada.
The Divisional Railway Manager Anand Prakash who presided over the inaugural function said that the knowledge of the local language was for effective communication with passengers.
