Railway junior engineer dies after falling from roof in UP

A 49-year-old Railway junior engineer (JE) was today killed after he fell from a roof while working on a telephone line.
The incident took place this afternoon when Ravindra Kumar Vaishya climbed on the cement roof of a shed to check the telephone line, police said.
As he tried to reach a pole to which the telephone wire was connected, the roof collapsed. He fell on the ground and was seriously injured, they said.
Vaishya was rushed to the railway hospital, where he died, police said, adding railway officials reached the spot and inquiry has been initiated.
