The total earnings from goods during the four months this year were Rs 33,040.22 crore compared to Rs 30,516.04 crore during the corresponding period last year, registering an increase of 8.27 per cent.
In passenger service, Railways have earned Rs 13,748.05 crore during April-July period compared to Rs 11,631.27 crore from passenger service during the same period last year, registering an increase of 18.20 per cent.
The earnings from other coaching amounted to Rs 1328.50 crore during April-July period as compared to Rs 1267.21 crore during the corresponding period last year, registering an increase of 4.84 per cent.
