Railways Min announces another EMU train from Palwal to Delhi

Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu today announced that another EMU train would be started from Palwal to New Delhi.
Besides, the Electric Multiple Unit EMU trains originating at Palwal would be extended till Hodal, he said in his address before laying the foundation stone of work to develop the Palwal Railway Station here as model railway station.
He also dedicated to the people the fourth railway line between Palwal and Asaoti stations, two new platforms--1A and B with modern route relay interlocking and LED light system at Palwal station.
Palwal said that the Central government was providing three times the amount that was provided during previous governments for development of railways in Haryana.
Prabhu said that work was being carried out in a planned manner to tackle any obstacles that might be faced by Indian Railways in future, according to an official release.
Work is underway to make Delhi-Kolkata and Delhi-Mumbai railway lines capable of having trains with speed of 220 km per hour. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, recently launched the scheme for fourth railway line from Mathura to Palwal, he said.
Work is being carried out on fourth railway line from Asaoti to Tughlakabad at a cost of Rs 192 crore, he added.
He also assured to consider the demand for starting Shatabdi from Mathura to Kurukshetra and halt at Palwal for some express trains, raised by Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Pal Gujjar, who is also BJP MP from Faridabad.
