Rain, accompanying cool breeze pull down mercury in North

Temperatures in most parts of North India witnessed a slump following scattered rain as a prolonged summer appeared giving way to the autumn season.
In Delhi, it was a pleasant morning under clear sky with minimum temperature settling at 22 degree Celsius, which was one notch above the normal.
According to Meteorological department, humidity level was recorded at 65 per cent till 8.30 AM this morning.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 35.2 degree.
In Punjab and Haryana also temperature settled within the normal limits.
Hisar was hottest place in the region with a high of 35.5 degrees. While Patiala settled at a high of 32.8 degrees.
Chandigarh settled at a high of 33.1 degrees.
In Rajasthan, Hanumangarh was hit by heavy hailstorms and Pilani, Buhana, Nohar recorded a rainfall of three cms each since last night. Chirawa, Ramgarh, Sethan, Mulsisar also got two cm each.
However, in some parts of the state, mercury hovered above the normal level and Churu recorded 40.2 degree.
