Jaipur recorded state's maximum temperature of 40.5 degree Celsius even as the ongoing western disturbance caused dust storm and light showers in parts of northwest Rajasthan during the last 24 hours, the official said.
The maximum temperature was below 40 degree C in most places including Ajmer, Pilani, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Barmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Churu and Ganganagar.
Dust storm or thundershower with rain may occur in the next 24 hours at isolated places in the state.
There was no indication of SW monsoon arriving in the state during the weekend, a forecast said.
