Rains bring temp down in Delhi

Rains in different parts of the national capital brought the mercury by six notches below the normal.
"The minimum temperature was recorded at 23.7 degrees Celsius, five notches below the normal for this time of the season while the maximum settled at 32.4 degrees Celsius, six notches below the normal," a MeT official said.
The Safdarjung weather station recorded a rainfall of 20.2 mm till 8.30 am while observatories at Lodhi Road, Palam, Ridge and Ayanagar received 24.2 mm, 3.8 mm, 17.9 mm and 15.7 mm of rains respectively, during the same period.
The rainfall recorded at the five observatories till 5.30 pm was 18.30 mm, 12.1 mm, 2.7 mm, 11.9 and 13 mm respectively.
Humidity levels oscillated between 69 and 100 per cent.
The weatherman has predicted a partly cloudy morning tomorrow with possibility of rains and thunderstorm.
"The maximum temperature is expected to settle at 32 degrees Celsius," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.2 degrees Celsius while the maximum settled at 32.2 degrees Celsius.
