Rains lash HP, temperatures fall upto 4 degrees

Widespread rainslashed Himachal Pradesh for the fourth day today, causing a drop of three to four degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures.
Arki in Solan district was wettest place in the state as it received 39 mm rains while Berthin recorded 34 mm rains.
They were followed by Baldwara and Dharampur with 25 mm, Kasauli 19 mm, Saloni 17 mm, Sangrah 15 mm, Amb 13 mm, and Bharwain with 12 mm.
Rajgarh, Kufri, Bharmaur, Bilaspur, Kahu Rampur Bushhar recorded 10 mm each, while Jubbarhatti, Sundernagar, Chhatarari and Shimla saw 9 mm, Karsog, Sarkaghat and Solan 8 mm andNahan 7 mm.
Kangra was hottest in the region with maximum temperature touching 36.7 degrees Celsius. Una, which was hottest yesterday, recorded a high of 33.2 degrees Celsius today.
Bhuntar recorded a maximum temperature of 34.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Sunder nagar at 33.5 degrees, Dharamshala 30.8 degrees, Nahan 30.9 degrees, Solan 27.5 degrees, Manali 26.4 degreess, Shimla 26.1 degrees and Kalpa23.6 degrees Celsius.
Minimum temperatures rose marginally in tribal and high altitude areas and Kalpa was coldest with a low of 9.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Manali at 10.4 degrees, Keylong 11.4 degrees, Shimla and Nahan 15.7 degrees, Solan 16.0 degrees, Dharamsala 16.2 degrees, Bhuntar 17.0 degrees, Sundernagar 18.7 degrees, Palampur 19.0 degrees and Una 23.6 degrees Celsius.
Monsoons are expected to arrive in Himachal by the end of June.
The local MeT office has predicted more widespread rains in the region over the next six days.
