Heavy rains lashed the national capital which recorded a total of 4.1 mm rainfall.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 32.8 degrees celsius and the minimum was 28.2 degrees celsius.
The heavy showers started after 1:30 PM and resulted in widespread water-logging.
Monsoons hit the capital on Friday evening after missing the normal onset date of June 29. Last year, the monsoons reached the city on June 26.
Uttar Pradesh also received monsoon showers in certain places.
Gaighat received 8 cm rainfall, Bansi 5 cm, Shardanagar, Balrampur, Ballia, Utraulia 3 cm each, Mahrajganj, Regaoli, Nawabganj, Pilibhit and Baheri 2 cm each.
The Met office has forecast heavy rainfall in some areas of the state in the next two days.
Heavy rains lashed several parts of Himachal Pradesh yesterday. The state capital Shimla settled at a high of 21.9 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the desert state of Rajasthan has received 71 mm rainfall during the monsoon season so far which is 24 per cent less than normal.
The rainfall at most of the places in the state has been light to moderate and monsoon is likely to remain weak during the next 48 hours, Met department officials said.
However, some of the areas have received heavy rainfall over the last few days and the water level in dams and other water bodies is increasing.
