Girdhari Lal, who is posted with the Ajitgarh Police Station in Sikar district, had demanded the bribe from Virendra Singh, the complainant in the case, Additional Superintendent of Police (ACB) Narottam Lal Verma said.
"Lal had demanded Rs 10,000 from Singh to settle a case. However, after the complainant negotiated the amount with the policeman, the deal was sealed at Rs 7,000," Verma said.
