Raj ACB arrests RAS official for irregularities in land deal

Anti Corruption Bureau of Rajasthan tonight arrested senior Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officer in connection with alleged irregularities in a land deal, police said.
Nishkam Diwakar, posted as Chief Executive Officer of Zila Parishad of Banswara, was arrested in the case after initial interrogation, Additional SP ACB Bajrang Singh said.
He was found involved in the case of allotment of a lease deed of 27,000 sq yard land to a firm in Jaipur against prescribed norms in 2001, he said.
The officer was posted as Deputy Secretary in Urban Development and Housing Department when the deed was issued, he said.

Another beneficiary from the land deal Shailendra Garg, who allegedly grabbed the land later, has already been arrested, he said.
