An Additional Director General of Police (ADG) rank officer from Rajasthan was relieved from the ongoing two week-long Mid Career Training Programme conducted at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) here, for allegedly "misbehaving" with an "official".
Confirming the development, a senior SVPNPA officer said ADG Indu Kumar Bhushan was sent back after he "misbehaved".
"He was sent back for misbehaviour. He behaved badly with an official and hence we sent him back. We have relieved him and he has been sent back," the SVPNPA officer told PTI.
The officer denied the reports in a section of media that the action against the ADG followed after "altercation" with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan, who had yesterday addressed the Mid Career Training Programme for Indian Police Service Officers and the probationers at the SVPNPA.
"Governor had completed his lecture...It is nothing to do with the Governor. Some rumours are in media that he misbehaved with Governor. It is nothing to do with Governor... He misbehaved with the official after the Governor's lecture was over," the NPA officer maintained.
Meanwhile, Raj Bhavan sources, said the Governor spent about one hour at the institute and answered "queries" from the participants.
