Makrana-Parbatsar rail line project and construction of rail line over bridges were among the various topics discussed during the meeting, an official spokesperson said.
Gehlot also asked officials to explore possibilities of more railway projects in the state, he added.
Meanwhile at another function near here, Gehlot said cooperative institutions in the state had strengthened due to government's efforts to ensure their internal elections.
He claimed timely elections in cooperative societies improved their condition.
"This gave powers to their executive boards and it strengthened them," Gehlot said during the launch of interest-free Rabi crop loan drive in Narena area.
On the occasion, he also distributed loan cheques of one lakh each to 18 farmers.
