The government has written a letter to the Universities directing them to make an action plan to implement 100 per cent digital payment system, both to the teachers and students, by January 10, 2017, a senior official said.
"As per the instructions, there will be no cash transaction in the Universities premises. The Universities were also directed to run awareness campaign for the purpose," the official added.
