The state government has approved a major project of "Gramin Gaurav Path" road construction at a cost of over Rs 1,115.03 cr in 33 districts covering about 2048.62 kms, Rajasthan Public Works Department and Transport Minister Yunus Khan announced here today.
After approval from Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, the Finance Department has also released the grant on GGP to PWD to be taken up, and tenders would be issued shortly, Khan told a press conference here.
Besides village roads, small sewer system would also be built, he added.
In another major approval, the state government approved a project on OPRC (Output and Performance Road Contract) based to built to repair, maintain, and built new roads in Alwar and Dholpur districts, he said.
The state government has approved a plan budget of Rs 2,372 cr, and contractors would build and maintain it on bid basis for eight years, he added.
