Rajasthan government will function from the divisional headquarters here for a few days, in a novel initiative to focus and address local level issues.
Under the initiative, the government today started its functioning for 11 days from here.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, ministers and senior officers reached Bharatpur district where Raje held a meeting of senior officials, including chief secretary, and briefed them about the agenda of the 11-day functioning.
A cabinet meeting chaired by Raje is scheduled on February 19 where local issues will be taken up.
Before the cabinet meeting, all the ministers will visit districts and villages under the Bharatpur division to review implementation of projects, schemes and programmes related with their departments and redress grievances, if any.
The ministers will also hold separate public hearings in districts, according to Bharatpur district collector Girraj Singh.
The ministers will be accompanied by senior officials of the respective departments.
The 11-day functioning in Bharatpur will conclude with the cabinet meeting on February 19.
