Raj Guv to hold VC Coordination Committee meet on Jan 29

Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh will hold the Vice-Chancellors Coordination Committee meet on January 29 to review the decisions taken up in meetings of different universities and fix a dress code for convocations in the future, officials today said.
The Rajasthan Governor is also the Chancellor of all state-run universities.
Vice-chancellors of all the universities have been invited in the meeting which will be chaired by the Governor to review the decisions taken up during the meetings of the universities and fix a dress code for convocation ceremonies in the future, a Raj Bhawan spokesperson said.
It would also deal with and discuss matters related to marking system in examination, duration of classes and attendance of both teachers and students in colleges and universities, he said.

Filling vacant posts in varsities would also be a major issue, he said, adding, all vice-chancellors have been directed to file their reports on the proposed agenda of the meeting, to the Raj Bhawan by December 15.
