Holding a high level meeting at Police Headquarters with top brass officials, Kataria said police stations (Thana) should finish investigation in minor rape and sexual exploitation cases at the earliest and produce the challan in the court within 15 days of the FIR.
On highway robbery and dacoities in towns, Kataria said there should be coordination among DIG, SP, and District level police officials to curb the crime and nab the culprits.
Effective night patrolling and checking at certain places could also reduce incidents of smuggling liquor and organised crime, he said.
He stressed to strengthen cyber facilities in all district headquarters saying every Thana (police stations) should be equipped with sophisticated equipments.
