Raj Thackeray, known to be close to Salman, arrived at the Galaxy apartment in suburban Bandra where he met the actor and his family members.
Before the MNS chief, actor-producer Aamir Khan also called on Salman.
Earlier in the day, advocate Akhilesh Chaubey, former MNS leader and now with BJP, said that he had filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of the interim bail granted to the 49-year-old actor.
Salman was yesterday sentenced by a sessions court to five years' rigorous imprisonment, but he swiftly moved the Bombay High Court which granted him interim bail till tomorrow when it will hear his plea against conviction.
