The Rajasthan High Court had yesterday ordered the dissolution of the OBC Commission and directed the government to constitute a new body which is backed by legislation.
Pilot alleged that the commission was set up on the basis of an administrative order and no bill was introduce pertaining to it. Therefore, the commission was not a statuary body.
"The government should have called a special session of the Assembly to pass a bill for the commission but it does not care for the interest of the OBC. The government also did not present an effective stand in the High Court," he alleged.
