Rajasthan Govt to hold Independence Day function at Udaipur

The Rajasthan government today announced that it would organise the state-level function to celebrate Independence Day on August 15 at Udaipur.
Flag hoisting, parade, cultural programmes, merit awards and certificates to the recipient would be presented by the Chief Minister at the function, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Sunil Arora, who held a high-level preparation meeting, said here.
All top IAS and IPS officers and Udaipur Divisional Officers were directed to begin preparations for the event, Arora said.
Previously such functions were held in the state capital Jaipur.
