The members of family and Rajput community had been agitating against the killing of Sodha in police firing and had called for a bandh and mass agitation tomorrow.
"The issue has been settled. The members have been assured that the case would be referred to CBI for investigation," ADGP (Law and Order) NRK Reddy said.
Reddy today met the members of Sodha's community in Jaisalmer and pacified them, following which they cancelled the bandh proposed for tomorrow.
Six other policemen who were in patrolling on Saturday night, when a fire was opened at Sodha leaving him dead, were also shunted to police lines, he added.
