She said there are three cold chains running and one mega food park proposed in the state for which work is under progress. She added that though her department does not directly implement work plans, it checks whether the applications follow the prescribed standards.
After the NDA government came to power at the Centre, a number of projects were announced, including 100 cold chain projects for which 300 entities have put up their applications, she said at an event here.
"We have handed over eight mega food parks to the country in last two-and-a-half years," she said, adding that one mega food park will provide jobs to nearly 6,000-7,000 people.
