Earlier, the company had placed its CMD Khaleel Rahim under suspension with effect from November 18, 2016, without elaborating on the reason behind the decision.
"Rajiv Chopra, Director (Marketing) of the Company will look after the charge of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), STC Ltd. In addition to his existing charge for a period upto February 17, 2017, or till such time the post is filled up on regular basis or until further orders," STC said in a regulatory filing.
State Trading Corporation is a public sector firm under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
