According to police, Munnabhai Sojitra, president of Jasdan Palika, lodged a complaint against Bavalia at Jasdan police station.
Sojitra has alleged in his complaint that the MP threatened him and said "you should die for creating trouble for Congress workers in the April 30 general elections".
Bavalia could not be contacted for his comment.
