Raju said the NOCAS version 2.0 has increased the transparency in the system and will will help in easing the business further.
NOCAS is the online system for the purpose of accepting NOC applications for height clearance for structures such as buildings, masts, chimney, and transmission lines around airports. The status of the application can also be tracked by the applicant under the system.
AAI has been entrusted with the responsibility of issuance of such certificate.
Civil Aviation Secretary R N Choubey, who was also present during the launch, said that unnecessary human interface leads to delay and it has to be replaced by an online system.
"All the three organs of the Ministry are working hard to put majority of public dealing on online platform by the end of this financial year," he said.
The NOCAS version 2.0 has been developed by AAI in collaboration with NIIT to make it more automated, robust and user-friendly.
