Eyeing the professional services segment globally as well as in India, IT services firm Ramco Systems today launched its Services Resource Planning (SRP) solution.
"While the market traditionally looks at ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) from an asset-centric business view, there is a sizable section of the market which is project-based or people-centric," Ramco Systems CEO Virender Aggarwal told PTI.
With this services, Ramco aims to address the specific business needs of consulting firms, IT-ITeS firms, staffing, professional services, among others, he added.
Professional services is one of the fastest growing industry segments, globally. Interestingly, this segment had to either manage with multiple point solutions or mask into a standard ERP which is built for manufacturing industry, he said.
Aggarwal added that SRP can help firms do away with multiple softwares thereby reducing software costs as well as enhance manpower utilisation.
"We are having a good response from small-sized firms and are now pitching for medium-sized firms with 25,000 plus employees. Later we would go for companies with over 100,000 employees," he said.
With accessibility to real time information, Ramco's SRP can boost an organisation's ability to hire, train and retain workforce, implement projects efficiently, manage finances comprehensively and provide superior customer service levels.
"We soft launched this offering a few months back and the market response was great. After success with staffing firms, BPM players and captives of large multinationals, we decided to further enhance our market presence in this segment", Aggarwal added.
From being seen predominantly as a domestic player, Ramco today clocks 69 per cent of its revenue from markets, outside India, a trend reinforcing the global acceptance of its cloud offerings.
