Madhuri recently shot for an item song with Ranbir in 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', slated for May 31 release.
"She (Madhuri) was my first love and my heart broke when she got married. I was happy when I got the opportunity to dance with her and see her," Ranbir said at a promotional event of the film.
In a candid confession, the actor said he had to "bribe" Ayan Mukerji in his own way to let him kiss the actress on her cheeks.
Heaping praises on the 'dhak dhak' girl, Ranbir said, "She is sincere, passionate and talented. It was great working with her. She is wonderful."
Ranbir who visited the sets of dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' last year for promotion of his film 'Barfi', did break into a jig with the actress.
Interestingly, Ranbir's father Rishi Kapoor had worked with Madhuri in various films.
