Till a month ago, there were reports that Ranveer would reunite with his "Bajirao Mastani" director on "Padmavati".
The latest buzz, however, is that Bhansali got irked after Ranveer asked for a bound script of the movie and the director decided to not sign the actor.
When asked about it, the 30-year-old star told reporters here,"Right now I'm not in position to comment on any of my film (referring to 'Padmavati'). As soon as I know I will be the first person to inform you (media)."
On his equation with Bhansali, Ranveer said, "My relationship with Bhansali is good. He has a beautiful smile".
The film, reportedly set to star Deepika Padukone in the lead role, is about ruler Alauddin Khilji's obsession with queen Padmavati.
If the deal is struck, Ranveer will be seen as Khilji.
