Rape victim dies in hospital

A girl student, who was brutally raped allegedy by a youth whose marriage proposal had been rejected by her family, succumbed to her injuries after battling for life for two days in neighbouring Ramgarh district.
Doctors attending to her at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences here said she died late last night.
The intermediate student was critical since Sunday, when she became the victim to the brutal assault, the police said.
One person was arrested following acomplaint filed by her family, the police said.
They accused Chhotu Khan of putting pressure on the family to get her married with him and on refusal, he allegedly perpetrated the crime at Ramgarh, about 50 km from here.
