The decision to shift her to AIIMS came after pressure from public.
AIIMS spokesperson Dr Y K Gupta said the girl was brought to the hospital at 6:30 PM. "A team of doctors, including gynaecologists and a paediatric surgeon, are examining the girl. Tests will be conducted to evaluate her condition," he said.
A doctor at the Swami Dayanand Hospital said the girl was recovering well. "The foreign bodies in her body has been removed. But there is some infection and we treated her with antibiotics," he said.
Scores of protesters gathered outside AIIMS and Swami Dayanand Hospita and demanded justice for the victim.
