The small wild cat was being treated in the veterinary facility at the Zoo, after it was rescued by forest officials near Erode a couple of months ago, Zoo officials said.
The feline is the latest addition in the list of animals in captivity, open to the public, they said.
AAZP is the largest zoo in the country spread over 1,490 acres in the city suburbs.
