The Chief Minister's Kedarnath visit has been cancelled as his helicopter was not allowed to take off due to bad weather, his OSD (officer-on-special duty) Jasbir Rawat said.
The date of his visit to Kedarnath will be decided later, Jasbir said, adding that now the Chief Minister has left for Haridwar.
Leaders from other political parties also forced to cancel their public meetings in Garhwal and Kumaon regions due to heavy rains.
Overnight rains accompanied with cold breezes made the weather pleasant in lower areas in Uttarakhand even as the mountainous regions experienced snowfall.
