The company said foraying into the e-commerce space is a step forward to ensure increased visibility and availability of its products.
Raymond has launched five individual e-commerce enabled brand websites of Raymond, ColorPlus, Park Avenue and Parx with a common shopping cart. All of these websites are optimised to be viewed on smartphones and tablets.
"According to industry estimates, E tailing market is set to reach USD 32 billion by 2020 and hence makes perfect business sense for Raymond to capture this growing demand," Raymond Limited Head (Ecommerce) Vijay Basrur said in a statement.
The company said it has further invested in the warehouse, having the capability to service a single product to a single consumer anywhere in the country and offers the capability to service a pan India consumer base with relatively minimal investment.
In near future, RaymondNext.Com will be introducing a host of features including a concierge service from Raymond 'Made to Measure' where customers can order customised products from their homes.
Raymond has some of the leading brands in its portfolio, including Raymond Ready-to-Wear, Park Avenue, Parx, ColorPlus, Makers amongst others.
