RBI sets rupee reference rate at 64.8178 against USD

The Reserve Bank of India today fixed the reference rate of the rupee at 64.8178 against the US dollar and 73.7497 for the euro.
Last Friday, these rates were 64.9697 and 73.9940, respectively.
The exchange rates for pound and yen against the rupee were quoted at 100.1176 and 54.36 per 100 yens, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon, RBI said in a statement.
The SDR-rupee rate will be based on this rate, it added.
