A team of IIM Shillong will become part of the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) of NITI Aayog to bring technological innovation into India's agricultural sector.
The team "Easy Company' of IIM Shillong was the winner of the sixth edition of the case study challenge conducted by Yes Bank Transformation Series in partnership with Atal Innovation Mission.
The winning team, bagging Rs 5 lakh prize money, will get an opportunity to work on a case set by AIM and will also get a chance for a pre-placement interview with Yes Bank.
NITI's/AIM's vision is to accelerate the adoption of technologies for the growth of farmer incomes as well as job creations, said Ramanan Ramanathan, Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission in a statement.
He said there is a great opportunity to leverage technology in boosting agri and farmer productivity, boosting farm income, reducing costs and climatic dependency as well as improving storage and distribution among others.
